Stakeholder Community Development

Community development is only about its thirty or so years of existence. The field has received national respect and support. The CDC has grown from community development corporations (CDCs)  to faith-based institutions, universities, and hospitals. CDC's  now build houses, train leadership and community  provide support to families in high-risk communities.

CDCs have high success rates where the practice to reach and alliance with “stakeholder community development.” Stakeholders include any institution or individual that has a expressed interest in the CDC accomplishing its mission and goals. In stakeholder member community development corporation, CDCs recognize the value of stakeholders in all sectors of the community.
